November Updates

These past two months have been quite life changing for me. From the cysts diagnosis to the surgery, to the resignation and to the sale of my beloved car. I was shocked to know that I had cysts, because I never had complaints during my period. But I am grateful to find a competent gynecologist to handle the case, he's very calming also. Because panicking and hearing stuffs/myths about the disease is the last thing I need. Thanks to God, the surgery went well, I heard it took me about three hours to become conscious, some say it's quite fast (is it?). I was still very sleepy right after the surgery, it feels good though, because I couldn't feel the pain from the stitches, I bet the drugs still worked. Then I got home three days after the surgery, I could still feel the uncomfortable and weird sensation caused by the stitches at that time. I also had to walk slowly (& slightly hunched) for about three weeks. I can't do any sports, not even Yoga, cannot wear high-heel shoes *sob*, cannot drive, and cannot walk up and down the stairs too much for about 40 days (the magical number 40 days, just like mothers who've just gone through delivery). Yet this condition makes me more grateful for being alive. That I could survive the surgery and things will get better eventually. Thankfully now my condition keeps improving.. ;).

Currently I'm staying at home because I have resigned from my job. There are lots of explanation & reason why I gave up the job. It's too personal so I won't elaborate it here. The bright side is, I can fully rest for my recovery after the surgery. Well, I can go here and there for awhile but I still feel much comfortable at home (read: I can go to the nearest mall).

Anyway, my car, my Suzuki Grand Escudo XL-7 is sold, finally. I was sad to know that there was a potential buyer willing to get the car ASAP. I thought the buyer will get it on December or something so I can have my last drive. That said, my last drive was on October 13, a day before the surgery, when I had to go to the hospital in the morning. He's been with the family since 2003 *I think* but I start to drive on May 2007, it's only been a year but I've loved him ever since. Although sometimes it's just so hard to navigate in a narrow parking space, I just love to drive it, it's so comfortable. I know I'm not the only one who say it. I know I don't have any comparison, this is the only car I ever drive by myself. The late Trooper & Panther was for practice, so it doesn't count. A lot of memories from the car, from my awkward driving until my not-so-awkward driving :P. A company when the girls decided to have a night out, because it's the biggest car that can accommodate up to 7 passengers. Even though I'm not the best driver in the bunch.. ^^. A friend for my Saturday morning Yoga class, with an on-again-off-again radio that I finally made peace with. A buddy for my inner city travel, through all the traffic jams, the impatient driver behind, the narrow street in Cilandak, the heat & everything that we've experienced together. This post is for you, hope you're doing well with the new owner, I'll always remember you..!

Looks Like a Princess

Five days ago in the midst of a stressful day in the office, I decided to go downstairs to buy some snacks. But seeing a Guardian store just beside a Star Mart, I remember I need to buy a body spray, any affordable body spray (preferably with a vanilla scent). Then I stumbled into a heart shaped body spray, the packaging was a bit cheesy I might say, but I was interested :P. Judging from the teeny girly bottle, somehow I thought they would have a fruity sweet or vanilla scents that I was looking for. Damn I was right! :D. After trying all of the scents, I decided to buy the one in purple. FYI, the brand is Sixsence (not scents, not sense, it's sence!), I got the one in Dazzling Purple, it's not vanilla sweet but it's freshly sweet, I don't know what exactly the scent is ^^. Aaand they also have my other favourite aroma, which smells just like The Body Shop (TBS) Pomegranate series, it's the one in pink, they call it Romantic Pink. I chose Dazzling Purple because I don't want to smell too Pomegranate-y, I already bought TBS Pomegranate for body lotion & shower gel, that is enough! :D. After looking at the bottle for quite a while, I just realized that it looks sooo much like Vera Wang's Princess fragrance (I have this one also :P) but with an over-the-top crown & plastic version of the bottle. I'll include the picture of them tonight! Anyway I was so happy I could find my favorite scent in a very affordable price, it was only Rp 12.800 ;)
